VIP's:
"£200m regeneration project" by Sandra Carter, Director of SDA
"Developing outside the box and delivering Scotland’s best new village" by
Peter Stirling, Managing Director of Stirling Developments

Strategic Development Agency:
The Armadale Station Community Development is being handled by SDA and worth around £200m of investment.  The vision is to create a school, parks, businesses and homes that will stimulate economic growth and benefit this area. Projects include a multiplex cinema, restaurants, retail, small business and industrial units, a hotel, a nursing home, public parks and up to 1,000 new homes.

Partners in the project include EWP Investments, EMA Architecture & Design, URS Corporation, Ian White Associates and Ryden.  Sandra is delighted to present the grand plan with the support of Ewan McIntyre of EMA Architecture & Design. (www.armadalestation.co.uk)

Stirling Developments:
This project has become a quest to develop a new approach - to make development a manifesto for positive improvement and something to celebrate. The current credit crunch and dramatic global economic down turn has highlighted the need to deliver desirable products at good value. Much of the UK’s volume house building has under-delivered for customers which has often resulted in soulless housing estates, ill-equipped to serve the new community or enhance the local area. Stirling Development’s approach is founded on trust and partnership where the aim is to build communities, not housing estates.  Peter shares his vision with Thrive. (www.stirlingdevelopments.co.uk)
